The messages are all around us:
“Push harder!”
“Go further!”
“Stretch your hamstrings … your budget … your mind!”
“Keep on working ‘it’ … even when you feel you can’t go on.”

It happens in the classroom, the gym, the dance studio. It can happen at your cubicle at work or even at your own easel or writing desk. Sometimes, the message comes from someone in authority, but often, the hardest taskmaster is within.
No wonder. These days, we’re all supposed to be lean, tough and efficient: like soldiers. Try Googling “boot camp” some time, and see how many companies are trying to get a piece of the militaristic action.
But pushing past your limits is not the only way to become healthier, stronger or more productive. The Feldenkrais method offers a different approach.
In this four-week workshop, we’ll explore how you can rest more,
stay within your range, and be satisfied – even delighted – with the results.

The Format
Each session will consist of
-  An Awareness-Through-Movement® lesson (1 hour)
-  An hour to work on a project of your choice
- An hour of discussion and group exploration
This will not be a critique as such; it’s aimed at helping you see your project in a new way so you can decide for yourself what to change, if anything.
BUT – if you want to keep working on your project for the full two hours, you have that option as well. For that matter, you can sleep or stare out the window!

You will benefit from this workshop …
If you want to commit to setting aside time for a creative project;
If you want to start something new;
If you want to work in a discipline that’s not familiar to you;
If you want to take a new approach to
something you’ve been doing for a long time:
If you’re not sure what you want, but it sounds interesting anyway.

Do you need to be an artist of some kind to benefit from this workshop?
No! You might be creating something in the area of business, computing, relationships. Creativity is everywhere.

What to bring
A yoga or movement mat, loose clothes, and supplies for your project.

What is provided
Some art supplies, snacks and tea
